Possible Causes
Burned-out bulb, Incompatible LED bulb causing flicker or no light, Corroded lamp socket contacts, Failed light relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before changing bulbs or touching the socket.
- 1. Replace bulb: Install a new bulb of the correct wattage and type recommended by Linear. Avoid overly large or high-wattage lamps.
- 2. Try a different bulb type: If using an LED, test with a standard incandescent or a garage-door-rated LED to rule out compatibility issues.
- 3. Inspect socket: Look for corrosion or bent contacts in the lamp holder. Clean gently and bend contacts slightly inward if needed.
- 4. Check light settings: Some Linear wall consoles have a light control button. Ensure the light is not manually turned off or in a special mode.
- 5. Board-level issue: If the bulb and socket are good but the light never comes on, the light relay on the control board may have failed. Replace the control board if light function is required.
