How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use a stable ladder when accessing the opener Learn button.
- 1. Replace keypad batteries: Open the keypad and install fresh batteries, observing polarity.
- 2. Reprogram keypad: Press the Learn button on the Linear opener, then enter the desired PIN on the keypad and press the appropriate key per the keypad instructions.
- 3. Check mounting location: Ensure the keypad is within range and not mounted on metal that could block the signal.
- 4. Inspect for water damage: If the keypad is cracked or has water intrusion, replace it with a compatible Linear wireless keypad.
- 5. Clear lockout: After multiple wrong PIN attempts, some keypads lock out temporarily. Wait a few minutes and try again with the correct PIN.
