Possible Causes

Internal logic board failure, Damaged low‑voltage power supply on board, Surge damage from lightning or power spike, Corrupted firmware

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the opener before removing covers. Capacitors on the board can retain charge; avoid touching components unnecessarily.

  • Power cycle: Disconnect power for 2–3 minutes, then reconnect. Sometimes a transient fault clears after a full reset.
  • Inspect board visually: Remove the opener cover and look for burnt components, bulging capacitors, or scorch marks on the Marantec logic board. If present, the board must be replaced.
  • Check all low‑voltage connections: Loose or shorted sensor, wall control, or accessory wiring can cause board faults. Disconnect all accessory wiring (sensors, wall station, key switch) and power the unit with only AC connected. If the error clears, reconnect accessories one at a time to find the culprit.
  • Replace board: If the error persists with all accessories disconnected, order the exact replacement Marantec control board for your model. Transfer wiring one terminal at a time to the new board, following the wiring diagram.
