Possible Causes
Wall station lock function enabled, Shorted wall button wiring, Defective Marantec wall control console, Control board input failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working on wall control wiring.
- Check wall console lock: Many Marantec wall stations have a lock or vacation button. Press and hold the lock button for 5–10 seconds to toggle the lockout. Try operating the door again.
- Test with remote only: If remotes work but wall button does not, the issue is isolated to the wall control or its wiring.
- Inspect wall control wiring: Remove the wall console from the wall and check the two low‑voltage wires. Tighten terminal screws and ensure no strands are shorting together. At the opener head, verify the wires are in the correct wall control terminals.
- Bypass test: With power off, disconnect the wall control wires at the opener. Restore power and briefly short the two wall control terminals with an insulated screwdriver. If the door operates, the wall console or its wiring is defective. Replace the Marantec wall station or run new cable.
- If no response from shorting terminals: The control board’s wall input circuit is likely failed and the logic board or head assembly must be replaced.
