Possible Causes
Erased or corrupted remote memory, Broken or disconnected antenna wire on opener head, Interference from nearby RF devices, Failed integrated radio receiver on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Work from a stable ladder when accessing the opener head. Keep clear of moving parts during testing.
- Reprogram remotes: Press the “Learn” or “Program” button on the Marantec head until the indicator LED lights. Press the button on the remote you wish to program until the opener light blinks or clicks. Test operation. Repeat for each remote.
- Inspect antenna: Ensure the thin antenna wire hanging from the opener head is intact, not cut, and not wrapped around metal. Straighten it downward for best range.
- Reduce interference: Move Wi‑Fi routers, LED shop lights, or other RF‑noisy devices away from the opener if possible. Test remotes at different distances.
- Test with new remote: Try programming a new Marantec‑compatible remote. If it also fails, the receiver section of the control board may be defective.
- Replace control board if needed: If wall button works reliably but no remotes or keypads can be learned, replace the Marantec logic/control board or the separate receiver module if your model uses one.
