Safety first: Ensure the doorway is clear before adjusting limits.

• Reprogram close limit: Enter the Merlin setup mode and adjust the closed position so the door fully contacts the floor without excessive force. Save the setting per the manual.
• Mechanical limit screws: On older Merlin units, turn the DOWN limit screw slightly in the direction indicated to increase travel. Test after each adjustment.
• Check floor contact: Verify the door is not hitting an obstruction on the floor (raised bolts, mats). Remove obstructions.
• Run full cycle: After adjustment, run the door fully open and closed to confirm it stops correctly without reversing.
