Possible Causes
Manual door lock engaged, Locking bar hitting track, Broken panel or hardware jam, Trolley arm bent or jammed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not force the opener to run against a jammed door; this can damage the motor and rail.
- Check manual locks: Inspect the door for slide bolts or keyed locks. Ensure all manual locks are fully disengaged.
- Inspect inside hardware: From inside the garage, look at the door tracks and hinges. Verify no loose bolts, brackets, or lock bars are protruding into the track path.
- Disengage opener: Pull the emergency release cord to separate the trolley from the door. Try moving the door by hand. If it will not move freely, the obstruction is in the door hardware and must be cleared or repaired.
- Straighten bent arm: If the opener arm is bent or twisted, replace or straighten it and ensure it is securely bolted to the door bracket.
- Re‑engage and test: Once the door moves freely, re‑engage the trolley and run a test cycle. The error should clear automatically.
