Possible Causes
Low remote battery, Damaged or shortened antenna wire, RF interference from LED bulbs, Metal building shielding signal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use a stable ladder when accessing the opener head and antenna.
- Replace remote batteries: Install fresh, correct-type batteries in all Mighty Mule remotes.
- Inspect antenna: Ensure the opener’s antenna wire is fully extended downward and not cut or coiled.
- Reduce interference: Replace nearby LED bulbs with garage-door-opener-compatible bulbs and move Wi‑Fi routers or other RF devices away from the opener if possible.
- Test from vehicle: Try operating from different angles and distances to rule out vehicle window tint or metal obstructions.
- External antenna: If range is still poor, consider adding a Mighty Mule-compatible external antenna kit if supported by your model.
