• Inspect the rail and trolley: Look for obstructions, bent rail, or a jammed trolley. Clear any obstructions and straighten minor bends carefully.
• Check motor for burning smell: With the cover removed, smell near the motor housing. A strong burnt odor may indicate failing windings; in this case, the motor assembly should be replaced.
• Test after cooling: Restore power and try a single open/close cycle. If the 6-flash error returns quickly, the motor or thermal protector is likely defective and should be replaced.
