Possible Causes
Internal RF module failure, Corrupted remote memory, Antenna wire broken, Power surge damage to receiver circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep clear of the door while testing remotes.
Steps to fix:
- Clear and reprogram remotes: Press and hold the LEARN button on the Motorlift opener until the LED turns off (this clears all codes). Then press and release LEARN, and program each remote and keypad again.
- Inspect antenna: Ensure the antenna wire is intact, hanging down, and not cut or coiled.
- Test with a new remote: Try programming a new Motorlift-compatible remote. If it also fails, the receiver is likely defective.
- Replace logic board: On most Motorlift units, the RF receiver is integrated into the logic board. Replace the logic/control board to restore remote function.
