Possible Causes
Lock feature activated on wall console, Stuck lock button, Firmware lockout after power surge, Defective wall control
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the door area is clear before re-enabling operation.
Steps to resolve:
- Check wall console: Locate the Motorlift wall control. Look for a LOCK or VACATION button or switch. If the lock indicator is lit, press and hold the LOCK button for 2–5 seconds to disable.
- Test remotes: Try operating the door with a remote after disabling the lock. If it works, no further action is needed.
- Power cycle the opener: If the LED remains solid red and controls do not work, unplug the opener for 60 seconds, then plug it back in to reset the logic.
- Bypass wall control: Temporarily disconnect the wall control wires at the opener and test with a remote only. If it now works, replace the wall control.
- Replace logic board if needed: If the LED remains locked and no controls work even after reset and wall control removal, the logic board may be faulty and should be replaced.
