How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the opener before replacing the belt.
Steps to replace belt:
- Release belt tension: Loosen the belt tensioner nut at the trolley end of the rail.
- Remove old belt: Slip the belt off the motor sprocket and trolley, then pull it out of the rail.
- Install new belt: Thread the new Motorlift-compatible belt through the rail, around the motor sprocket, and through the trolley.
- Set tension: Tighten the tensioner nut until the belt has slight deflection (per Motorlift specs) without being overly tight.
- Test operation: Run the opener through several cycles and listen for smooth, quiet operation.
