Possible Causes
Emergency release left in manual mode, Broken door arm bracket, Missing clevis pin or cotter pin, Bent door arm
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the door is fully closed or securely propped before reconnecting the trolley.
Steps to resolve:
- Check emergency release: Verify the red release handle is in the engaged position (usually pulled down and toward the opener). Slide the trolley until it clicks back into the carriage.
- Inspect door arm connection: At the top section of the door, confirm the curved door arm is securely bolted to the door bracket and the straight arm is pinned to the trolley.
- Replace missing hardware: Install new clevis pins and cotter pins where missing. Tighten loose bolts on the door bracket.
- Test operation: Run the opener and confirm the trolley now moves the door smoothly.
