Possible Causes

Failed photo-eye sensor, Misaligned sensor brackets, Broken sensor lens, Sunlight interference on sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Never permanently bypass safety sensors; they are required for safe operation.

Steps to repair:

  • Check sensor LEDs: One sensor should show a solid green LED and the other a solid amber (or similar). If one is off or flickering, alignment or power is an issue.
  • Realign sensors: Loosen the wing nuts and adjust the sensors until both LEDs are solid. Tighten while maintaining alignment.
  • Shield from sunlight: If direct sunlight hits a sensor, install a small shade or move the sensor slightly back on the bracket.
  • Replace faulty sensors: If an LED will not light even with correct wiring, replace the Motorlift safety sensor pair.
