Possible Causes

Down limit set too short, Obstruction at bottom of door, Warped door section contacting floor early, Bent track near floor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Keep hands and feet away from the bottom of the door while adjusting.

Steps to fix:

  • Inspect bottom area: Look for debris, raised concrete, or thick weatherstripping preventing full closure. Remove or correct obstructions.
  • Adjust down travel: Turn the DOWN travel adjustment screw on the Motorlift opener clockwise slightly to increase travel until the door fully closes and seals.
  • Check track alignment: Ensure the vertical tracks are plumb and not pinching the door near the floor. Loosen and realign if necessary.
  • Test safety reversal: Confirm the door still reverses properly when encountering an obstruction.
