Possible Causes
Shorted wall control wiring, Stuck relay or transistor on Nice board, Neighboring transmitter programmed to your receiver, Water ingress into external key switch or keypad
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Until resolved, disconnect power when the door is not supervised to prevent accidental movement.
- Isolate wall circuit: Disconnect the START input wires at the Nice board. If the problem stops, inspect the wall button, key switch, and wiring for shorts or moisture.
- Clear and reprogram remotes: Erase all remotes from the Nice receiver memory and reprogram only your own remotes to rule out interference from unknown transmitters.
- Check external devices: Open key switches and keypads to look for water or corrosion that could bridge contacts. Seal or replace as needed.
- Board evaluation: If the door still moves with all external inputs disconnected, the control board's input circuitry or relay may be failing and should be replaced.
