E11 is displayed and the door opens but will not close using remote or wall button.

Safety first: Keep people and vehicles clear of the door while testing.

• Check safety devices during close: Command the door to close and watch the photocell LEDs and safety edge. If the beam is blocked or the edge is compressed, the board will inhibit closing.
• Verify logic mode: In the Nice programming menu, confirm the operating logic (step‑by‑step, automatic closing, condominium, etc.) is appropriate for a residential door. Some logics restrict closing from certain commands.
• Inspect close limit switch: If the board thinks the door is already closed, it may ignore close commands. Check the close limit switch or encoder reference and re‑set limits if necessary.
• Test with photocells bypassed (temporarily for diagnosis only): If allowed by local regulations, temporarily bridge the photocell terminals at the board to see if the door will close. If it does, the photocells or their wiring are at fault. Restore proper safety devices immediately after testing.
