E13
Nice
Over‑travel or Incorrect Close Limit Setting
E13 appears and the door reverses immediately after touching the floor.

Possible Causes
Close limit set too far down, Door hitting a hard stop before limit switch, Incorrect travel distance programmed, Floor level changed (new seal or threshold)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep clear of the moving door while adjusting limits.
- Check floor contact: Observe the door as it closes. If it compresses the bottom seal excessively or hits a rigid obstacle, the motor will sense high force and reverse.
- Adjust close limit: Use the Nice limit adjustment screws or electronic programming to move the close limit slightly up so the door just seals against the floor without excessive force.
- Re‑run learning cycle: If your Nice model uses automatic travel learning, reset and perform the full open/close learning procedure.
- Verify bottom seal and threshold: If a new, taller seal or threshold was installed, adjust the close limit to accommodate the new height.
