Possible Causes
Open motor winding, Disconnected motor harness, Failed motor capacitor (on AC motors), Burned motor relay contacts on Nice board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before opening the motor housing. Capacitors can retain charge.
- Check motor connector: Ensure the multi‑pin motor plug is fully seated on the Nice control board and that no pins are bent.
- Inspect capacitor: On AC motor models, locate the start/run capacitor. Look for bulging, leaks, or cracks. Replace with the same capacitance and voltage rating if damaged.
- Measure motor windings: With power off and disconnected, measure resistance between motor leads. Infinite resistance indicates an open winding.
- Relay check: If you hear a click but no motor movement, the relay may be switching but the contacts could be burned. In most cases, replacing the control board is more practical than relay replacement.
