Possible Causes
Broken low‑voltage cable to wall button, Faulty wall push button, Miswired terminals on Nice board, Corroded contacts in key switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working on low‑voltage wiring.
- Test at the board: Briefly short the START/STEP‑BY‑STEP terminals with an insulated screwdriver. If the door moves, the board is fine and the issue is in the wall circuit.
- Inspect wall button: Remove the button from the wall and check for loose wires or corrosion. Replace if the contacts are worn or stuck.
- Check cable continuity: Use a multimeter to test the two conductors from the board to the wall station. Repair or replace the cable if open.
- Verify wiring: Ensure the wall button is connected only to the correct low‑voltage input terminals and not to any power terminals.
