Garage door opener beeps but does not move the door on Overhead Door DC opener with battery backup

Safety first: Unplug the opener before opening the battery compartment.

• 1. Check battery indicator: Many models have an LED indicating battery status. Refer to the manual for beep/LED patterns.
• 2. Inspect and test battery: Open the battery compartment, check for corrosion, and measure voltage. Replace if low or older than the recommended service life.
• 3. Verify connections: Ensure battery leads are secure and correctly polarized.
• 4. Test on AC power: With a good battery installed, plug in the opener and test operation. If it still only beeps, the DC power module or control board may be defective.
• 5. Replace battery or DC module as needed: Use an Overhead Door-approved replacement battery and, if required, a new DC power/control module.
