Garage door opener light stays on and will not turn off on Overhead Door opener

Safety first: Turn off power before removing the wall console or opener cover.

• 1. Check wall console light button: Press the light button several times to see if the light toggles. If the button feels stuck, replace the console.
• 2. Verify light delay: Some models allow extended light-on time. Consult the manual and reset to default.
• 3. Disconnect wall console: Remove the wall console wires at the opener. If the light turns off after a short delay, the console or its wiring is causing the issue.
• 4. Inspect logic board relay: With the cover off (power disconnected), look for a small relay controlling the light. If it is heat-damaged or stuck, the board must be replaced.
• 5. Replace faulty component: Install a new wall console or logic board as indicated by your tests.
