Garage door opener wall console buttons do not control the light or lock functions on Overhead Door opener

Safety first: Turn off power before rewiring the wall console.

• 1. Verify console model: Ensure the wall console is the correct Overhead Door model for your opener (especially for smart consoles with multiple buttons).
• 2. Check wiring polarity: Many smart consoles require correct + and - connections. Reverse the wires if they appear swapped and test.
• 3. Inspect console LED: If the LED is off, there may be no power or a wiring fault. Check connections at both the console and opener.
• 4. Replace wall console: If wiring is correct and the LED is still off or features do not work, install a new compatible wall console.
• 5. Replace logic board if console known-good: If a new console behaves the same, the console interface on the logic board may be defective.
