Possible Causes
Bent vertical track, Loose or misaligned hinges, Damaged rollers, Door out of square
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Support the door securely when working on hinges or tracks.
- Inspect vertical tracks: Look for bends or inward bowing that could pinch rollers. Gently straighten and realign as needed.
- Check hinges: Tighten loose hinge screws and replace cracked hinges. Ensure hinge knuckles are not rubbing against the track.
- Replace bad rollers: Swap out any rollers that do not spin freely with compatible garage door rollers.
- Re‑test: After mechanical corrections, test door balance by hand, then reconnect the Skylink opener and test closing.
