Safety first: When testing keypad operation, keep the door path clear.

• Replace batteries: Open the Skylink keypad and install fresh alkaline batteries, observing correct polarity.
• Clear opener memory: Erase all remote/keypad codes from the opener by holding the LEARN button for 10–15 seconds until the LED indicates memory clear.
• Reprogram keypad: Follow the Skylink keypad’s specific programming instructions: typically, press LEARN on the opener, then enter a 4‑digit PIN on the keypad and press the designated key (e.g., # or ENTER) within 30 seconds.
• Check compatibility: Confirm the keypad model is designed for your Skylink opener series. Some older Skylink keypads are not compatible with newer rolling‑code models.
• Replace keypad: If programming fails repeatedly with correct steps and fresh batteries, replace the Skylink wireless keypad.
