Possible Causes
Safety sensors not functioning, Sensor wires reversed, One sensor LED off, Control board in constant‑pressure mode due to sensor fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Never bypass or tape down the wall button to force the door closed. Fix the safety system instead.
- Check sensor LEDs: Verify both Skylink safety sensors have solid LEDs when the door is open. If one is off or blinking, realign or replace sensors.
- Verify wiring polarity: At the opener, ensure the sensor wires are connected to the correct terminals and polarity as specified by Skylink. Reverse them if wired incorrectly.
- Test close from remote: Once sensors are aligned and LEDs are solid, test closing from the remote. The requirement to hold the wall button should disappear.
- Replace sensors: If LEDs will not light despite correct wiring and alignment, replace the Skylink safety sensor pair.
