Possible Causes
Full memory of remote codes, RF interference, Faulty internal RF receiver module, Defective main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Work from a stable ladder when accessing the opener head. Do not short terminals on the control board.
- Clear remote memory: Press and hold the LEARN button on the Skylink opener for 10–15 seconds until the indicator LED blinks rapidly or turns off, indicating all remotes have been erased.
- Reprogram a single remote: Press and release the LEARN button once (do not hold). Within 30 seconds, press the button on the Skylink remote you wish to program. The opener should flash or click to confirm.
- Reduce interference: Move Wi‑Fi routers, LED light bulbs, or other RF devices away from the opener if they are very close. Try programming with the opener light off and other nearby electronics unplugged.
- Test wall console: If the wall console works but no remotes can be learned and E6 persists, the RF receiver section on the control board may be faulty.
- Replace RF module or board: On models with a removable RF receiver card, replace the Skylink RF receiver module. If integrated, replace the Skylink main control board.
