Remote controls have very short range or work only inside the garage

Possible Causes
Damaged or missing opener antenna, Antenna wire tucked inside housing, RF interference from LED bulbs or electronics, Failing RF receiver
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use a stable ladder when accessing the opener head.
- Inspect antenna: Locate the Skylink opener’s antenna wire. Ensure it is fully extended and hanging down, not coiled up inside the housing.
- Check for damage: Replace the Skylink antenna wire if it is cut or frayed.
- Reduce interference: Replace noisy LED bulbs with compatible ones and move Wi‑Fi routers or other RF devices away from the opener.
- Test with new remote: If range is still poor, test with a new Skylink remote. If both have poor range, the RF receiver module or main board may need replacement.
