Possible Causes

Loose mounting hardware, Door hitting floor too hard, Misadjusted close limit causing impact, Loose rail support brackets

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Support the rail and door before loosening any mounting hardware.

  • 1. Inspect mounting: Check the opener head, rail supports, and header bracket. Tighten all lag screws into solid framing.
  • 2. Check close limit: If the door slams into the floor before stopping, re‑set the close limit so the door just seals against the floor without excessive force.
  • 3. Add or adjust rail supports: Long rails should have intermediate supports to prevent flexing. Install additional angle iron supports if the rail bounces during operation.
  • 4. Inspect door stops and weather seal: Replace hardened or missing bottom seal that may cause a hard impact at close.
  • 5. Test operation: Run several cycles and observe for shaking. If E13 persists despite solid mounting, the internal vibration sensor or logic on the control board may be faulty.
