How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep clear of the door path while testing. Do not ride or walk under a moving door.
- Test door manually: Disconnect the opener and move the door by hand. Identify any tight spots and correct track or roller issues.
- Check sensor LEDs during travel: Watch the photo eye LEDs as the door moves. If they flicker, the sensors or brackets may be loose.
- Adjust force slightly: Increase up and down force in small increments until the door can travel smoothly without stopping, while still reversing on obstruction.
- Inspect limit cams: On mechanical limit systems, ensure the cams are tight on the shaft and not slipping.
