Possible Causes
Open limit set too low, Bent top section or top bracket hitting header, Short rail not matched to door height, Binding rollers near top radius
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not force the door open with the opener if it is hitting something solid.
- Inspect top of travel: Watch the door as it opens. Look for contact between the top section, top bracket, and header or opener rail.
- Adjust open limit: Increase the up/open limit setting slightly so the door can reach the fully open position without hitting the opener rail.
- Check track alignment: Ensure the horizontal tracks are level and properly supported. Misalignment can cause the door to bind before fully open.
- Verify correct rail length: For taller doors, a longer rail kit may be required. If the trolley hits the opener head before the door is fully open, consult a technician about installing the correct rail extension.
