Opener light does not turn on when door operates, but opener otherwise works normally.

Safety first: Unplug the opener before changing bulbs or touching the socket.

• Replace bulb: Install a new bulb of the correct wattage and type recommended by Wayne Dalton.
• Inspect socket: Look for corrosion or burned contacts. Gently bend the center contact up slightly for better contact if it is flattened.
• Check wiring: If the bulb and socket look good, inspect the wires from the logic board to the socket for breaks or loose connections.
• Replace socket assembly: If the socket is heat-damaged or cracked, replace the light socket assembly with a compatible part.
