Possible Causes
Blocked or misaligned photo eyes, Broken sensor wire, Sensor knocked out of bracket, Sensor lens dirty
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Never bypass the safety sensors by twisting wires together or taping over them.
- Observe light flashes: Count the flashes; repeated sets of 10 typically indicate a sensor issue on many openers.
- Clean lenses: Wipe each sensor lens with a soft cloth to remove dust and cobwebs.
- Realign sensors: Adjust each sensor until both LEDs are solid. Tighten brackets.
- Check wiring continuity: If one LED is off, inspect and repair the wiring back to the opener head. Replace the sensor pair if wiring is intact but no power LED.
