Possible Causes
Failed relay on logic board, Wall console light button stuck, Shorted light control wiring, Miswired accessory
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before opening the opener housing.
- Check wall console: Press the light button on the wall console several times. Ensure it is not physically stuck in the pressed position.
- Disconnect wall console: Temporarily disconnect the wall console wires at the opener head. Restore power. If the light now behaves normally, replace the wall console.
- Inspect logic board: If the light remains on with the wall console disconnected, the light relay on the board is likely stuck closed. Replace the logic board.
- Verify accessories: If any third-party accessories are wired to the light circuit, disconnect them and retest.
