Disposal unit feels loose or wobbly when pushed from side to side under the sink.

Safety first: Turn OFF power to the disposal. Do not operate a unit that is not securely mounted.

• Check mounting ring: From under the sink, rotate the American Standard mounting ring clockwise until it locks firmly into place.
• Tighten screws: If your model uses three mounting screws, tighten them evenly to draw the mounting ring up against the sink flange.
• Inspect rubber gasket: If the rubber mount appears crushed or deteriorated, remove the disposal and replace the gasket.
• Verify sink flange nuts: Tighten the flange mounting bolts or nuts at the top of the assembly to ensure the flange is tight to the sink.
