Astracast
Shared Supply or Flow Restriction Interaction
Astracast disposal causes a noticeable drop in water pressure at the kitchen tap when running.

Possible Causes
Shared shutoff valve partially closed, Debris in aerator reacting to vibration, Undersized supply line to kitchen, Loose faucet mounting transmitting vibration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn OFF power to the disposal before working under the sink.
- Step 1 – Check shutoff valves: Ensure hot and cold shutoff valves under the sink are fully open.
- Step 2 – Clean aerator: Remove and clean the faucet aerator; debris can shift with vibration.
- Step 3 – Inspect supply lines: Verify that flexible hoses are not kinked or pinched by the Astracast unit or plumbing.
- Step 4 – Secure faucet: Tighten faucet mounting nuts to reduce vibration-induced flow changes.
Warning: If water pressure issues persist throughout the home, consult a plumber; it is not caused by the disposal.
