Astracast disposal is physically loose and can be moved by hand at the connection to the sink.

Safety First: Turn OFF power at the breaker and do not operate the disposal while it is loose.

• Step 1 – Support unit: Place a box or support under the Astracast disposal to hold its weight.
• Step 2 – Tighten mounting ring: Rotate the mounting ring clockwise (or as specified) until it locks fully into the mounting lugs. Use the supplied tool if necessary.
• Step 3 – Inspect gasket: If the unit cannot be tightened securely, remove it and inspect the rubber mounting gasket and sink flange hardware. Replace worn components.
• Step 4 – Reinstall: Refit the disposal following Astracast installation instructions, ensuring all lugs engage properly.
• Step 5 – Test for movement: Gently push the unit side to side; it should feel solid with minimal movement.

Warning: A loose disposal can stress plumbing and cause leaks or falls.
