Safety First: Turn OFF power at the breaker before making adjustments under the sink.

Step 1 – Check for foreign objects: Inspect the grinding chamber and remove any debris that could cause imbalance.
Step 2 – Inspect impeller lugs: Ensure both (or all) impeller lugs swing freely on the grinding plate. Free any stuck lugs using a wooden tool.
Step 3 – Verify mounting tightness: From under the sink, check that the Astracast mounting ring is fully locked and evenly tightened. Tighten mounting screws or tabs as specified in the installation manual.
Step 4 – Check sink flange alignment: Look up into the sink opening to confirm the grinding plate is centered. If the flange is visibly off-center, the sink flange may need to be reinstalled.
Step 5 – Test with water: Restore power, run cold water, and test. If severe vibration persists, the grinding plate may be bent and the unit should be replaced.

Warning: Excessive vibration can loosen plumbing joints and cause leaks; address promptly.
