Water leaks from the side of the disposal where the dishwasher drain hose connects.

Possible Causes
Loose dishwasher hose clamp, Cracked dishwasher inlet nipple on disposal, Damaged dishwasher inlet gasket, Over-pressurized dishwasher drain
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn OFF power at the breaker and do not run the dishwasher until the leak is resolved.
- Step 1 – Inspect hose and clamp: Tighten the hose clamp at the dishwasher inlet nipple. If the hose is brittle or cracked, cut back to fresh material or replace the hose.
- Step 2 – Check inlet nipple: Examine the plastic or metal inlet nipple on the Electrolux disposal for cracks or deformation. Any damage here usually requires disposal replacement.
- Step 3 – Verify knockout removal: Ensure the knockout plug was removed fully and no partial plug is preventing a tight seal.
- Step 4 – Test for leaks: Run the dishwasher through a short drain cycle while observing the connection. Tighten or reposition the hose as needed.
