Disposal will not run unless the reset button is pressed each time before use.

• Step 2 – Adjust usage: Avoid long continuous runs and heavy loads that can overheat the motor.
• Step 3 – Inspect ventilation: Ensure there is adequate airflow around the disposal under the sink and that insulation or stored items are not blocking it.
• Step 4 – Evaluate overload device: If the unit is cool to the touch but still requires reset before every use, the internal overload protector is likely failing.
• Because the overload is integrated into the motor assembly on most Electrolux models, replacement of the entire disposal is typically required.
