Possible Causes
Cracked or disconnected air tubing, Faulty air switch button, Failed air switch control module, Water in air line
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn OFF power at the breaker before working on the air switch system.
- Step 1 – Inspect air tubing: Check the clear or opaque tubing between the countertop button and the control module for kinks, cracks, or disconnections. Reattach or replace as needed.
- Step 2 – Check for moisture: If water is visible in the tubing, remove it and blow out moisture or replace the tubing.
- Step 3 – Test button: Press the air switch button while listening at the control module. If no click is heard, the button or tubing is faulty.
- Step 4 – Replace air switch kit: If tubing and button are intact but the module does not energize the disposal, replace the complete Electrolux-compatible air switch kit.
