Possible Causes

Mounting ring not fully locked, Uneven tightening of mounting screws, Insufficient plumber's putty, Misaligned sink flange

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety First: Turn OFF power at the breaker and disconnect the power cord before adjusting the mounting.

  • Step 1 – Check mounting ring engagement: From below, rotate the mounting ring clockwise until all three mounting tabs are fully locked into place.
  • Step 2 – Verify sink flange seating: If the flange appears tilted or there is a gap, remove the disposal and reseat the flange with fresh plumber's putty.
  • Step 3 – Tighten evenly: Tighten the mounting screws or ring evenly around the flange to ensure a uniform seal.
  • Step 4 – Test for leaks and vibration: Reinstall the disposal, reconnect plumbing and power, then run water and operate the unit while checking for leaks and excessive movement.
