Possible Causes
Impeller lug jammed with debris, Bent impeller arm, Broken impeller rivet on Everbilt plate, Foreign object trapped under lug
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF and unplug the disposal.
- Inspect impellers: Remove the splash guard and use a flashlight to observe the two impeller lugs on the grinding plate.
- Free stuck lug: Use a screwdriver to gently move each lug. If one is stuck, clear any debris beneath it with tongs.
- Rotate shaft: Use the bottom hex socket to rotate the plate and listen/feel for clunks.
- If lug is loose or broken: The impeller assembly is not replaceable separately on Everbilt units. Replace the disposal.
