Garbage disposal makes a rattling noise with small hard particles during use

Possible Causes

Small bones, fruit pits, or hard seeds in chamber, Gravel or foreign debris from sink, Broken pieces of plastic or glass

Safety first: Turn OFF the disposal and switch OFF the breaker or unplug it.

Inspect chamber: Remove the splash guard and use a flashlight to look inside.
Remove loose debris: Use tongs or pliers to remove any visible hard particles.
Flush remaining particles: Restore power, run cold water, and briefly operate the disposal to flush out any remaining small pieces.
Prevent recurrence: Avoid putting hard pits, shells, or non-food items into the Everbilt disposal.
