Possible Causes
Internal corrosion around reset button seal, Cracked lower housing on Everbilt unit, Prolonged leak from above saturating housing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Immediately unplug the disposal or turn OFF the breaker. Do not operate a unit leaking near electrical components.
- Confirm leak location: Dry the housing, then run water in the sink (disposal OFF). If water appears around the reset button or lower housing seam, the internal seal is compromised.
- No field repair: The reset button seal and lower housing are not user-serviceable on Everbilt disposals.
- Replace unit: Remove and replace the Everbilt disposal, ensuring all upper leaks (sink flange, dishwasher inlet, discharge elbow) are also corrected to prevent future damage.
