Possible Causes

Light rust on Evergrind turntable and shredder ring, Dried food residue in Evergrind chamber, Hard water deposits on Evergrind components, Lack of periodic exercise of Evergrind motor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF power before freeing a jam.

  • Manual freeing: Use the Evergrind hex wrench to work the turntable back and forth until it moves freely.
  • Clean with ice: Run cold water and grind a tray of ice cubes to help remove surface rust and residue.
  • Regular exercise: Run the Evergrind unit with water for 15–30 seconds at least once a week to prevent sticking.
  • Descale if needed: Periodically flush with a vinegar solution to reduce mineral buildup (do not leave strong acids sitting in the unit for long periods).
