How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF power before inspecting the unit.

  • Check for debris: Remove the Evergrind splash baffle and inspect the chamber for items stuck to one side of the turntable. Remove with tongs.
  • Rotate plate: Use a wooden dowel to spin the Evergrind turntable. It should rotate smoothly without wobble.
  • Inspect impellers: Look for bent or missing Evergrind impeller lugs. If damaged, the disposer should be replaced.
  • Tighten mounting: From below, tighten the Evergrind mounting ring screws evenly. Ensure the unit is firmly locked into the sink flange.
  • Test with water: Run water and operate the Evergrind unit. If vibration remains severe, replace the disposer.
