How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF power before inspecting.
- Clean chamber: Run cold water and operate the Evergrind unit with a few ice cubes and a small amount of rock salt to help scour the shredder ring. Turn off and rinse.
- Free impellers: With power OFF, use a wooden dowel to push each Evergrind impeller lug; they should swing freely. If stuck, gently work them back and forth until they move.
- Check voltage (advanced): Have a qualified person verify that the Evergrind unit is receiving proper line voltage at the junction box.
- Replace if still ineffective: Severely worn grinding components require replacement of the Evergrind disposer.
