Possible Causes
Evergrind dishwasher knockout plug not removed, Clogged Evergrind dishwasher inlet nipple, Kinked dishwasher drain hose at Evergrind connection, Air gap blockage between dishwasher and Evergrind
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF power to the Evergrind unit and do not run the dishwasher until resolved.
- Check knockout plug: If the Evergrind unit is newly installed, confirm the internal dishwasher knockout plug was fully removed. If not, remove it and retrieve the plug from the grinding chamber.
- Inspect inlet nipple: Remove the dishwasher hose from the Evergrind inlet and clear any debris or hardened food blocking the passage.
- Check hose routing: Ensure the dishwasher drain hose is not kinked or looped too low between the dishwasher, air gap (if present), and Evergrind inlet.
- Clean air gap: If an air gap is installed on the sink, remove the cap and clean out any debris.
- Test dishwasher drain: Run a drain cycle and observe flow into the Evergrind unit.
