How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF power at the breaker.
- Manual rotation: Use an Allen key to rotate the shaft fully 360° several times. Note any tight spots.
- Remove obstruction: From the sink opening, use tongs to remove any object at the point where rotation binds.
- Inspect grind ring: Use a flashlight to look for damaged or protruding sections of the Franke grind ring. If damaged, the ring or entire grinding assembly may need replacement.
- Test operation: Restore power and test with water only. If clicking persists, replace the Franke grinding plate and grind ring assembly.
